You can delete your Swapizy account and associated data at any time.
Delete immediately in the app
The fastest method is available without contacting support:
- Open Swapizy and sign in.
- Open the Profile tab.
- Select Delete account.
- Review the consequences and confirm deletion.
The account is disabled immediately after the authenticated request succeeds.
Delete when you cannot access the app
Email support@utopiaapplications.com with the subject Delete my Swapizy account. Include the phone number or email address associated with the account and confirm that you want the account deleted.
We will verify that you control the account before deleting it. Do not send an SMS verification code, password, private key, payment information, or identity document in the initial email. We will provide a safer verification step if more information is required.
What happens immediately
After an in-app deletion succeeds, or after an emailed request is verified and completed, Swapizy:
- disables normal account access;
- revokes refresh tokens and push-device registrations;
- clears the stored precise location, search radius, profile description, and public profile photo;
- removes the user’s items and item photos from active discovery;
- anonymizes the account’s display details in related chats;
- freezes related chats so they cannot be used for new exchange coordination.
Limited retention
Phone numbers, email addresses, and social sign-in identifiers may remain restricted for up to 180 days after deletion to prevent fraud, preserve report integrity, and stop ban evasion. Scheduled cleanup then deletes or detaches those identifiers unless a longer period is required by law, a valid legal request, an active dispute, a safety review, or an abuse investigation.
De-identified item, match, chat, report, moderation, and audit context may be retained where needed to protect another user’s records, investigate safety, or establish legal claims. Backup copies expire through normal rotation and may temporarily contain data deleted from active systems.

Timing
Authenticated in-app deletion is immediate. We aim to complete a valid email request within 30 days, but verification, a safety investigation, a legal hold, or another lawful requirement may take longer. We will communicate if additional action is needed.
