You can request deletion of your Swapizy account and associated data at any time.
To request deletion, email us at support@utopiaapplications.com with the subject Delete my Swapizy account.
Please include:
- The phone number or email address linked to your Swapizy account.
- A short confirmation that you want your Swapizy account deleted.
We may ask you to verify that you control the account before completing the request.
What happens immediately
After account deletion is confirmed, Swapizy disables normal account use immediately. We revoke active authentication and device tokens, hide the public profile from normal service flows, remove the user’s items from active discovery, stop push notifications for the account, and freeze related chats so they cannot be used for new exchange coordination.
Deleted phone numbers, email addresses, and social sign-in identifiers cannot be used to create a new Swapizy account for 180 days after deletion. This helps prevent fraud, evasion of reports, and deletion of evidence after harmful activity.
What we delete or de-identify
When your account is deleted, we delete or de-identify account data where technically possible, including:
- public profile information, profile photo, and profile description;
- precise location and search radius stored on the account;
- authentication and device tokens;
- active item visibility and item photos;
- public chat display name and profile photo;
- push notification registration data.
Where applicable, we also request deletion from service providers that process data for Swapizy.
What may be retained
Some data may be retained for a limited time if needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, moderation, or backup recovery.
This may include the internal account ID, phone number, email address, social sign-in identifiers, reports, moderation records, item and chat context related to safety issues, limited server logs, and backup copies until they expire through normal backup rotation. Restricted account identifiers used for safety and fraud prevention may be retained for up to 180 days after deletion unless a longer period is required by law or an active dispute, safety review, or abuse investigation.
Timing
We review deletion requests manually and aim to complete valid requests within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days unless additional verification, safety review, legal retention, or backup rotation requires more time.
